There is a 8 mm restored hairline at the rim, otherwise the bowl is in overall good condition.

因胭脂紅彩釉於康熙晚期，約1720年代初年，始研製及應用於景德鎮御瓷製作，故繪這彩釉之康熙銘款器物極罕。胭脂紅彩燒製甚難，牽涉金膠之運用，景德鎮藝匠於清朝初年已掌握此技術，實非意料中事，以致過去有對康熙胭脂紅器存疑的情況，但如今學術界已達共識，肯定當時御窰廠之超前成就。這盃之寬底形制，亦為康末雍初之特色，進一步確定康熙胭脂紅的存在。
大英博物館藏有一對胭脂紅盃，釉色，年款，器形，尺寸皆與此盃相符，錄於S. J. Vainker，《Chinese Pottery and Porcelain》，倫敦，1991年，圖版158。日內瓦鮑氏收藏一盃，錄於 John Ayers，《The Baur Collection Geneva: Chinese Ceramics》，日內瓦，1968-74年，卷3，圖版A482。相近瓷盃，多施色澤較深之胭脂紅彩，器內畫果仁，帶康雍兩朝年款。例如一對出自 Yale Kneeland 收藏康熙作例和一對雍正瓷盃，分別售於紐約蘇富比1994年6月1日，編號390及1976年11月29日，編號614。芝加哥藝術學院另藏四相類康熙瓷盃（館藏編號：41.648）。
