Condition
In very good condition. The cultured pearls are creamy white, with moderate rose overtones and fair luster. The calibré-cut sapphires are medium blue, well-matched for color and eye-clean. The rubies are medium slightly purplish red and lightly included. Both the sapphires and rubies have a few chips due to wear, but these are only visible under magnification. The carved rock crystal and blue topaz segments are translucent. The diamonds are approximately F-H color, VS clarity. Total diamond weight approximately 8.50 carats. The mountings and clips showing slight signs of wear; this is confined to the reverse of each piece and is not visible when worn. To open the necklace, flip up the safety at the tip of each rock crystal segment, then slide the plate out. To remove the rock crystal segments to be worn as brooch-clips, open necklace from center, then at the opposite end of each rock crystal segment flip up the safety clasp and pull out the safety pin to remove from pearl strands. Copy of original invoice from Boucheron available upon request.
