Stable overall condition. Head has been consolidated from the inside to prevent further movement of hairline cracks and to facilitate mount. Topknot is completely original but has been repositioned after separation. Hairline cracks along chin and on right side of face, from right temple to right earlobe and also down right side of face toward the chin. Original hair curls molded and applied. Some losses to hair curls at front, and extensive losses to curls at the back of head and around separately made topknot. Some damage to lower lip on left side and to left nostril, as visible in catalogue illustration. Some damage to area around urna at forehead. Accretion and earth in both ears. Minor traces of pigment remaining in depths of ears.
