黃鶴山樵真跡已不多見，余每作〈秋山〉，則貌似之，故人亦因之識，山樵口似，此生澀之紙，恐山樵亦不能下一筆也。佳紙不易得，真吾輩恨事。蕭愻。
鈐印：「謙中」、「龍樵壬午六十歲」。

Artist's Inscription:
One rarely sees authentic paintings by Huanghe Shanqiao (Wang Meng, 1308-1385) any more. Every time I paint Autumn Mountains, I imitate the appearance of his style. Can my old friend know the Shanqiao through this? On such coarse paper, I am afraid the Shanqiao could not even lay down his brush. Good paper is hard to come by. This is truly to be regretted. Xiao Xun.
