雲山疊疊樹重重，貝闕知藏第幾峰。安得移尊亭子上，月明清聽一聲鐘。荒煙落日暗山陬，空谷無人水月流。此際不堪聞雁過，可憐宋玉最悲秋。丁亥（1767）秋九月，坐雨賜書樓寫贈文漁先生。蓬心王宸。
題跋：
子凝為司農曾孫，妙傳家法，山水以幹筆皴檫，極有韻致。晚年則未免有枯禿之病。此卷四十八歲作，雖用幹皴，清潤無匹，具有黃鶴山樵筆意，先生合作也。丙辰（1916）二月，息庵老人記。
鈐印：「蓬心書畫」、「王宸私印」。
藏印：「松年所藏」、「松下清齋」、「息庵」、「長亭子孫」。

Layer upon layer of cloudy mountains, layer upon layer of trees: in which peak lies unseen the luxurious palace? How can I move with you to a pavilion, and under the bright moon listen to the resounding bell? The blurry mist and setting sun darken the mountains. Through the empty valley a moon-reflecting stream flows. At this moment I cannot bear to hear passing geese, for I pity Song Yu, who found autumn most sorrowful. In autumn in the ninth month of the dinghai year (1767), painted as a gift to Master Wenyu at the Yuci Studio. Pengxin Wang Chen.

Colophon:
Zining was the great-grandson of Sinong (Wang Yuanqi, 1642-1715) and mastered the family style. In his landscapes he used a dry texturing brushwork that was full of elegance, but in his later years it became somewhat too dessicated. He painted the present scroll at the age of forty-eight. Although it features dry texture strokes, it feels incomparably supple and fresh, evoking the style of Huanghe shanqiao (Wang Meng, 1308-1385) as if it were a collaboration with the master. In the second month of bingchen year (1916), recorded by Xi'an laoren.
