拍品資料及來源

The theme of falling flowers figures prominently in the poetry of Shen Zhou, as well as in poems written by his circle of friends and pupils in Suzhou. An anthology of Shen's literary works, Shitian xiansheng ji, records thirty original poems on this subject, eleven of which are transcribed in this album. Eight of the poems in this album are not included in that anthology but they appear in a handscroll in the Nanjing Museum. Shen Zhou wrote out these poems on many occasions, in a variety of formats, sometimes with accompanying paintings.
