註：本幅見山懸孤塔，綠柳陣列，分割畫面為上下兩部份。如此
構圖可溯源自畫家一九五八年作品〈春酣〉，佈局相類，但隱去近
景陂地，將綠柳與孤塔距離拉近，柳叢幾覆蓋全畫面積三分之
二。六四年筆下的〈新春〉擴濶了空間，令視野及天地更形寬廣，
惟筆墨、設色沿襲前者，仍是一片清新自然。
若再探究構圖衍化演變之淵源，孤塔遠山的原型可見諸一九六○
年作品〈夕陽山外山〉，而柳樹佈岸則取法於一九五八年的〈小蓬
船〉，惟兩者組合自然，無生硬拼湊之弊。惜畫家在兩年後難逃政
治風暴帶來的厄運，如此構圖未能再生變化現於筆下。
又同年十二月中旬〈潘天壽國畫展〉在香港舉行，規模盛大，甚受
歡迎。展出多為近作，包括是年之作。本幅寫於三月中旬至四月
中旬期間，香港展覽目錄上，編號86，畫題「新春」，惜未記創作
年份，兩者是否同一，待考。
