- Paper appears to be yellowish due to age. Two minor paper loss could be found at the upper section of the painting. A small area of paper loss could be found at the left border at the blank areas. Otherwise, generally in good condition. - Nicely set against old mounting from 1928.

註：吳觀岱早歲擅寫工筆人物，與晚年取法黃慎之縱放寫意，大
異其趣，惜傳世畫迹極稀。本幅寫於其不惑之年， 正好說明其工
緻精細的仕女畫，與同期海上擅此道者相比，水準不遑多讓。畫
中自題師十洲筆意，實與晚清仕女畫風類近，蓋取徑自改七薌
一路。若參照他寫於一九○一年的〈梅花仕女圖〉，構圖、筆法同
源，該幅曰「做玉壼外史筆意」，即可知淵源所自。
