註：林擒就讀廣州市立美術專門學校，關良乃其畢業班主任。
四九年後，一直未有相聚，待一九七八年方得再晤。關良於八十
年代初赴香江舉行個展，林氏亦從傍襄助。本幅寫於上海，稱謂
曰「弟」，足証師生情誼。

林擒（1917-1989），原名林世忠，出生於廣州。從小酷愛美術，在廣州美專就讀期間，受業於關良。定居香港後，曾擔任電影編劇、宣傳，亦替報刊撰寫專欄及創作漫畫等。一九八二至八七年間，先後三次在香港大會堂舉行個展。他主修西洋畫，早期筆下漫畫諷刺時弊。至上世紀七十年代在內地多趟旅遊與畫友聚晤，接受建議嘗試國畫創作。其畫友遍及內地多處，如朱瞻、關良、葉淺予、程十髮、黃永玉、亞明、宋文治、唐雲、關山月、黃苗子等。本輯所彙集者乃林氏「改革開放」初期北上探望藝壇舊友，並得獲贈作品誌念。
