註:一九六四年五月,大千先生抵西德,出席在科隆舉行的近作
展。本幅署年「甲辰」,原藏者乃德籍設計師及美術教授,得此於
彼邦,故極可能屬畫家小留當地即興之作。
畫面蜿蜒小路沿山開鑿,盤旋而上,其勢險峻,峰巒叠堆,雲嵐
穿插其間,益顯高聳接天,此即取題之秦蜀分界處的七盤關所在。
一九三九年,大千先生與張目寒、黃君璧往遊此地,積累畫稿,
寫成〈蜀山秦樹卷〉,即取此景入圖,曰「七盤關」。日後,再行創
作,俱出諸傳統筆墨,如本幅合潑墨寫意法,則屬僅見。兼捨宣
紙,改用材質如水彩畫紙的洋紙,更顯其大膽嘗新的創意,或可
佐證人處旅途中,慣用紙材不一定即時攜帶在側,遂代以洋紙。
此紙厚度甚於宣紙,吸水性及滲透度皆有異,潑墨其上,積累如
團團墨塊,暈散不易,而濕筆淡墨混融,花青輕盈拖掠,呈峻嶺
橫亘畫面上方,恰好形成濃淡虛重的效果,足見畫家大膽落墨、
小心收拾,經營之妙渺無痕迹!
