註：一九六四年五月，大千先生抵西德，出席在科隆舉行的近作
展。本幅署年「甲辰」，原藏者乃德籍設計師及美術教授，得此於
彼邦，故極可能屬畫家小留當地即興之作。
畫面蜿蜒小路沿山開鑿，盤旋而上，其勢險峻，峰巒叠堆，雲嵐
穿插其間，益顯高聳接天，此即取題之秦蜀分界處的七盤關所在。
一九三九年，大千先生與張目寒、黃君璧往遊此地，積累畫稿，
寫成〈蜀山秦樹卷〉，即取此景入圖，曰「七盤關」。日後，再行創
作，俱出諸傳統筆墨，如本幅合潑墨寫意法，則屬僅見。兼捨宣
紙，改用材質如水彩畫紙的洋紙，更顯其大膽嘗新的創意，或可
佐證人處旅途中，慣用紙材不一定即時攜帶在側，遂代以洋紙。
此紙厚度甚於宣紙，吸水性及滲透度皆有異，潑墨其上，積累如
團團墨塊，暈散不易，而濕筆淡墨混融，花青輕盈拖掠，呈峻嶺
橫亘畫面上方，恰好形成濃淡虛重的效果，足見畫家大膽落墨、
小心收拾，經營之妙渺無痕迹！
