Condition
The scroll pot is in good condition with the exception of surface scratches, minor kiln grits, short firing cracks, minor glaze chips, and other minor glaze firing imperfections such as glaze pull, iron-spots, burst glaze bubbles etc.

The inscription on the tablet reads Xishan dasige. Xuantong ernian. Mile zunfo zuo qianwei. Zhongqiu yue li (Placed in front of the figure of Maitreya in the Xishan Temple. Established in the second month of Autumn in the second year of Xuantong’s reign), corresponding to 1910. The inscription on the rectangular panel near the rim reads Fuzhou fu Linyi Nie men Wang shi jingzhu (respectfully supported by a lady with the maiden name Wang who married into the Nie family from Linyi under the Fuzhou government).
