Condition
There is a restored chip at the rim and enamel flake to one leaf just below the rim on the exterior. The interior overpainted. There is overall wear to the enamels.

此盌上所見色彩，乃雍正早期景德鎮御窑廠所產經典釉色。Hugh Moss於其著作《By Imperial Command. An Introduction to Ch'ing Imperial Painted Enamels》，香港，1976年，頁82，中提及，此類盌所用色彩甚是遵循傳統用色，應為景德鎮御窑廠依循宮廷造辦處所繪瓷器風格而製。至景德鎮的工匠熟悉京城宮廷造辦處中粉彩的發展前，他們仍循康熙時期的主要風格。康熙時期發展出的新式粉彩釉，以深色地上飾色彩明艷花卉紋，最能展示其效果，因而廣受喜愛。直至雍正初期方始有新概念及技法的激盪，而產生了此鼎盛時期的彩瓷風格與色彩。此拍品不論設計及牡丹紋的色彩，皆為罕見珍品。另有兩件設計相同作例，但為珊瑚紅地施藍色、粉色及桃色，其一件錄於Hugh Moss著《By Imperial Command. An Introduction to Ch'ing Imperial Painted Enamels》，香港，1976年，圖版82，並售於紐約蘇富比1978年11月29日，拍品編號373，另一件為拍品編號374.
此件之色彩配飾及繪畫風格，應是依循器形較小而窄的折沿盌，亦繪三朵黃、紅色牡丹映著珊瑚紅地，雍正御製款；台北國立故宮博物院可見一例，曾展於「清代畫琺瑯」特展，台北，1979年，圖錄品號35；另有兩件為鴻禧文教基金會所藏，錄於《中國歷代陶瓷選集》，台北，1990年，圖版142。有一件此類窄身盌，飾相仿藍色及白色花卉，現藏上海博物館，上海，錄於《中国陶磁全集》，卷21，京都，1981年，圖版105。Moss論述，此類紅地花卉紋瓷盌，落有雍正御製款，應是景德鎮燒製，洋彩約為1722-1725年所繪，粉彩應為1722-1728年繪。
