of oval form with straight sides, the oval top and contour finely decorated with undulating leafy orchids in turquoise-blue and green enamels reserved on a cobalt-blue ground within gold borders, the interior divided by an 'S'-shaped central partition, the base applied with gold

Condition

There are some wear to the gilding and minor nicks along the edges of the cover and the base but otherwise the box is in very good condition.
