The overall condition is very good with only a little light rubbing to some of the gilded areas (at the mouth and on the raised areas on the body) and very slight lean to one side. There is also an original fine firing fissure to the base of one handle (at the joint between the handle and the shoulder).

仿青銅瓷瓶，厚重碩大，紋樣懷古，追殷摹周，為大雅之器。乾隆仿古御作，以摹高古青銅器為大宗。清高宗蒐集商周青銅禮器，據古物御製仿器，以瓷代銅，模擬青銅器形及複層紋飾，推陳出新，古為今用，藉以思祖追遠。

瓶短頸，扁圓腹，形仿先秦青銅壺。有別於一般扁腹壺，頸飾夔龍雙耳。通體施渾爐鈞釉，貼飾金蝠夔龍，間以帶狀紋飾，器形設計搭配獨特，疑為孤品，暫無他例。瓶上既有摹古變形夔龍，兩兩雙對，也有清代習見紋飾，如祥瑞飛蝠和如意雲頭，古今俱備，新而有根。仿古青銅瓷器多施紫金或茶葉抹釉，飾以描金，或加綠彩摹銅銹，但以爐鈞釉地仿古青銅則甚罕見。

北京故宮博物院藏仿古尊，通體施茶葉抹釉，上飾爐鈞釉帶狀細邊，可資比對，詳見《故宮珍藏康雍乾瓷器圖錄》，北京，1989年，頁412，圖版93；同書另載仿青銅觚及鐘，出處同上，頁414f.，圖版95及96。署乾隆年款三足香爐，仿黑銅鎏金，就圖片所見，沒施綠釉，開光貼飾變形夔龍，與本品紋樣相近，見耿寶昌，《明清瓷器鑑定》，香港，1993年，頁282，圖486。另有小壺，紋樣簡潔，仿錯金青銅，松石綠地貼飾醬色龍紋，色調與本品相近，曾展於敏求精舍展覽《中國陶瓷雅集》，香港藝術館，香港，1980年，編號138，後售於香港蘇富比1989年11月14日，編號340。上海博物館藏無署款瓷觚，上施松石綠釉，與器形相近的商代青銅觚，並展於《Treasures from Shanghai. Ancient Chinese Bronzes and Jades》，大英博物館，倫敦，2009年，編號56a及b。

香港私人收藏的一支白釉瓷瓶，器形紋飾與本品近似，惟體型略小，疑為尚未加彩的半製成器，年款不全，列展於《機暇清賞：懷海堂藏清代御窰瓷缾》，香港中文大學文物館，香港，2007年，編號2。
