Condition
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the image does not convey the texture of the painting.
The work is executed on its original canvas, not relined.
Are only visible under very close inspection :
- few hairline cracks to the impasto
-1 tiny loss of paint (approx. 0,1 cm) located 1 cm from the lower edge and 4 cm from the left edge
- 1 minor loss of paint (approx. 0,2 cm) located 4,5 cm from the lower edge and 12,5 cm from the right edge
Under UV light, there is no evidence of any retouching.
This work is in excellent condition.
