Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is lighter in the original. The work is executed on a sheet of cream Arches paper. The sheet is taped to the overmount along the upper edge. The edges are originally irregularly cut. Some remnants of previous mounting along the edges are only visible on the back of the sheet. This work is in excellent condition.

» (Zao Wou-Ki, in Zao Wou-Ki, Tours, Musée des Beaux-Arts, 1991, p.10)
