Condition
This work is overall in very good condition. The canvas is relined with wax adhesive. There are two minor paint losses near the top left corner. There are slight craquelures across the surface.
There is no evidence of restoration under UV light.

「創作肖像的時候，我首先會研究我在畫的是誰，找出主人公的社會地位和性格。如果她是一名看起來很深閨的社會女性，我會強調她的嫻淑和優雅，順勢淡化她不甚完美的部份。在我而言，肖像繪畫不止是刻劃外表，更必須把一個人的內在神髓表達出來。把肖像畫得如攝影般真實並不足夠，作品仍然會欠缺些什麼，使之無法代表現實中獨一無二的那個人。」
