This painting is in good condition overall, as is the canvas, which is clear and taut. There are networks of craquelure scattered throughout the surface, with the majority being on the upper register (sky), but the paint layers are sound and stable. There is evidence of wear and handling along the edges and margins and some dust/ dirt accumulated in some crevices. Examination under ultraviolet lights reveal some retouching on the upper register (i.e. sky and wall of church), as well as a spot on the lower right. Framed.
