This painting is in good condition overall. There is evidence of light handling and wear along the edges and margins, along with associated pin-sized punctures (in the middle of the lower margin) and minute spots of paint losses on the upper and lower registers, the most significant of which is a spot of paint loss in the middle of the upper register (located 5.5 com from the top and 43 cm from the left margin). An indentation to the edge is evident on the lower left corner. Throughout the surface there are scattered areas of craquelure, primarily on the bottom half of the painting, but the work is overall in stable condition. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals that there is evidence of minor retouching scattered throughout the composition, most notably around the edges and margins, which are apparent after examined under ultraviolet light.
