拍品資料及來源
"...It took me quite a long time to gather up the objects that I eventually painted. I scoured antique markets and souvenir shops, looking for just the right things as I made mental sketches for myself. It was a lot less fun than ordinary souvenir shopping or hunting for collectors' items.
One thing always led to something else. Often I ended up taking things home without knowing how I would use them. There was simply something about them. I just had a feeling that they would come in handy at some point. I guess what I'm saying is that many of the paintings in this series weren't planned in advance. One day I just happened to look at something I had bought from a different angle or a new perspective and an idea for a painting came to me. Most often these ideas were related to my interest in the impact between the language of painting and a deliberate attempt to convey some unexpected meaning."
NATEE UTARIT CITED IN THE ARTIST'S STATEMENT, 2009.
