Condition

Apart from some enamel flakes (esp. to the mustard yellow at the mouth and around the base) and occasional surface scratches, the overall condition of the pair is quite good. Most of the enamelling has been well preserved with only some wear to the gilt decoration. Both vases have the word "CHINA" faintly incised to the base below the mark.
