each finely painted showing a couple in various amorous pursuits, some in open garden pavillions and others in the confines of scholars' studios, each framed and fitted within a wooden box with metal mounts
Condition
The overall condition of the plaques are very good. Most of the original enamelling has been well preserved with only some very minor enamel flakes. There are some nibbles and polished chips to the unglazed edges, including a 6 cm chip to the upper edge of the seventh plaque, possibly for easy fitting in the wooden frames.
