Yulhee Kim studied Fine Arts at the University of Pennsylvania and Parsons School of Design. She began her career at the Membership Society of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, a leading cultural and arts patron organization supporting the museum’s collection fund. There, she developed collector education initiatives and membership programs. Following her experience as a curator at major galleries in Korea, she expanded into gallery management and art consulting for financial institutions. Since 2007, she has been actively engaged in the art scenes of Seoul and Beijing, collaborating with institutions, galleries, art fairs, collectors, and patrons, building an extensive professional network. In 2015, she served as the Fair Director of the Affordable Art Fair in Seoul, playing a key role in expanding access to the art market. In 2019, she was appointed as an Adjunct Professor at Ewha Womans University Graduate School of Business and later contributed as an advisor to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as a Collection Advisory Jury Member for MMCA. Kim subsequently led Sotheby’s Institute of Art in Korea as Chief Representative and Global Programs Faculty, overseeing arts management education for six years while cultivating a new generation of young collectors.
