Sotheby's Moscow office opened in May 2007 to assist our Russia-based and international clients and is located just moments away from Red Square on Romanov Pereulok (Business Centre "Romanov Dvor"). But Sotheby’s history in Russia began as early as 1988 with a groundbreaking sale of Avant-Garde and Soviet Art that realised more than £2 million. After a 15-year period during which the Russian Art market grew at an unprecedented rate, Sotheby’s held its first auction of Russian Art at Sotheby’s London in 2002. What was an annual auction has now increased in frequency to four auctions each year devoted solely to Russian Art. Click here for more auction highlights. Sotheby’s Moscow offers comprehensive services for clients worldwide and our staff welcomes the opportunity to assist you with all your purchasing and buying needs regardless of where you might live. We are able to assist you if you have questions regarding buying, selling or wish to have an object from your collection valued. We provide estimates and insurance valuations for all collecting categories and are happy to answer any questions about upcoming sales, facilitating absentee bids or arranging for the shipment of consigned or purchased property. At present, we are actively seeking consignments in all collecting areas for inclusion in upcoming sales. Appointments strongly recommended
