The Upper Belvedere is one of the two main buildings in the Belvedere Palace complex in Vienna, comprising the Prince Eugene of Savoy’s former summer residence. A baroque landmark and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the complex also includes stunning formal gardens and parkland. The Upper Belvedere houses the world’s largest collection of Gustav Klimt paintings, including the Art Nouveau masterpieces “The Kiss” and “Judith”, plus a number of important works by Egon Schiele and other Viennese and European artists including Oskar Kokoschka, Ferdinand Waldmüller, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh. Also represented are outstanding collections from the baroque and medieval periods, as well as the 19th and 20th centuries.
