L isten to violinist Charlie Siem deliver an exclusive and mesmerizing performance of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Chaconne from Partita No. 2 in D Minor (BWV 1004) on the historic Joachim-Ma Stradivarius. Over 300 years old, this magnificent instrument was crafted in 1714 by the legendary Antonio Stradivari during his celebrated “Golden Period.”

Estimated at $12–$18 million, Sotheby’s is honored to offer this masterpiece of sound as the highlight of Sotheby’s New York’s Masters Week. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the New England Conservatory, establishing the largest named scholarship fund in NEC history.
