Countess and Count Giovanni Volpi di Misurata take us through the life of one of the most celebrated Venetian palazzos: Palazzo Volpi. Unveiled to the public for the first time, its interiors have been hosting international public figures since the 1920s.
This collection presents fascinating objects that have adorned these magical and iconic interiors over the last 100 years and are now coming to the market for the very first time. Among others, an outstanding suite of mother-of-pearl inlaid lacquered furniture, important Roman consoles and ballroom banquettes, spectacular Venetian mirrors and chandeliers, and a wonderful group of pieces supplied by Maison Jansen under the direction of Stéphane Boudin.
The sale will take place at Sotheby’s Paris in February 2024.
