British artist Bruce Munro explains how the Impressionists gave him the freedom to create his immersive light-based experiences. From his studio in Wiltshire, Munro describes how works by Paul Gauguin, Camille Pissarro and Alfred Sisley changed people’s perceptions about what it was to be alive. Works by these artists are among the highlights of Sotheby’s Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale in London on 1 March.
