Louise Bourgeois is considered one of the most important artists of the 20^th century. In this video, discover how Bourgeois’ visual practice drew on childhood memories and psychological trauma. Spanning 41 years of the artist’s eight-decade career, this astoundingly complete group of works was amassed by European collectors. Versions of Bourgeois’ emblematic sculptures ‘Torso, Self-Portrait’, ‘Fée Couturière’ and ‘Arched Figure’ will be offered in our upcoming cross-category ‘Rembrant to Richter’ Evening Sale (28 July | London).
