Landscapes: As Far As The Heart Can See

18 January 2025 | Singapore

To kick off 2025, Sotheby’s is set to return to Singapore for its highly anticipated auction, coinciding alongside with Southeast Asia’s leading international art fair, Art SG. Poised to be a highlight of the 2025 Singapore Art Week, Sotheby’s preview is scheduled from 14 to 18 January, with the sale commencing on 18 January at 5 Jiak Kim Street.

We are delighted to present "Landscapes: As Far as the Heart Can See", a curatorial theme that explores the subject of landscape through different lenses across cultures, time, geography, history, and stylistic movements. This exhibition showcases a rich tapestry of artistic expressions, featuring the sublime works of 19th-century master Raden Saleh through 20th-century modernists such as Marc Chagall, Chu Teh-Chun, Chen Wen Hsi, S. Sudjojono, Fernando Amorsolo and Alix Aymé. Additional highlights include contemporary trailblazers such as Mark Bradford and Christine Ay Tjoe.
