This department offers decorative arts and design from the Arts and Crafts movement through Art Nouveau and Art Deco, to works from the post-war years and on through contemporary design.

Our international sales include works by Gerrit Rietveld, William Morris, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Emile Gallé, Tiffany Studios, Greene & Greene, Frank Lloyd Wright, Jacques-Emile Ruhlmann, Jean Prouvé, Charlotte Perriand and Ron Arad, among many others. Our international team includes eight highly experienced specialists in London, New York and Paris who work closely with their colleagues in Sotheby's worldwide locations to source the strongest examples from each period or style in this category. Regular sales take place in Paris in June and November, and in New York in March, June and December. Occasional sales are organised in London.
