A Qing Dynasty Scroll by the Emperor’s Favourite Painter

Measuring over five metres long, this rare and well-preserved landscape was created by the renowned Imperial court painter Qian Weicheng (1720-1772), a high-ranking official and favourite of Emperor Qianlong. Widely documented and endorsed by famous scholars, ‘Landscape After the Four Great Yuan Masters’ is being offered at auction for the first time and is a highlight of our upcoming Fine Classical Chinese Paintings spring sale (Hong Kong | 1 April).
