The Nuggets and Lakers have developed a strong rivalry, especially after last year’s Western Conference Finals series, so their clash in the first round was eagerly anticipated. As LeBron James and Anthony Davis sought revenge, Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic stepped up to the challenge and delivered a historic night. Jokic recorded 27 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists, tying Wilt Chamberlain for the most “20, 20, 10” playoff stat lines in NBA history. While statistically quieter, Murray made the entire arena erupt as he sealed the game with a step-back buzzer beater over one of the 6'10" Anthony Davis, one of the best defenders in the league. This game saw the Nuggets achieve a 20-point comeback and delivered a 2-0 lead, arguably the most important win in the five-game series.
