Sotheby’s Los Angeles celebrated the opening of the S|2 exhibition Li Jin: A Devout Foodist’s Journey to the West with an exclusive preview and dinner on 7 June and a lively cocktail reception on 8 June. Hosts Sotheby’s Andrea Fiuczynski and Mee-Seen Loong were in attendance guiding guests through the exhibition’s 40 paintings and two sculptures, many of which were created during Li’s whirlwind foodie tour of Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York earlier this year. In keeping with the decadence that inspired the work on view, guests to the dinner enjoyed a lobster banquet set amid lush tropical flowers, while on 8 June, friends and artists alike celebrated Jin with a cocktail reception held in partnership with Maserati.
