On 13 May, families and art lovers came to Sotheby’s for a viewing of more than 1,000 works on offer this May. While sipping mimosas and munching on bites like nutella bombolinis, cheese beignets and chocolates, provided by Sentient Jet, guests viewed Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary works from Fearless Now, as well as African and Oceanic art. After brunch, the new play WARHOLCAPOTE: A Non-Fiction Invention premiered in New York with a reading by its two star actors, Roger Bart and Dan Butler. The afternoon concluded with an energetic Q&A between former Warhol Museum director, Sotheby’s Eric Shiner, and the play’s creator, Rob Roth. Click ahead for images. –Stephanie Sporn
