  In 2016, Sotheby’s acquired Orion Analytical, founded by Martin, to form its Department of Scientific Research, with laboratories in New York, London and, in 2018, Hong Kong.   Bernstein, author and director of the Jasper Johns Catalogue Raisonné of Painting and Sculpture and co-curator of the Royal Academy’s current exhibition  Jasper Johns: ‘Something Resembling Truth,’  and Ganz is the senior editor and primary object examiner for the catalogue raisonné of the artist’s drawings ( seven  of which from the  Diamonstein-Spielvogel Collection  will be offered at Sotheby’s on  16 November .

  Jewellery Designer Shaun Leane on Pushing the Boundaries of Beauty

  “I’ve gone from being a goldsmith to a silversmith to a blacksmith to a sculptor to teaching myself taxidermy,” jewellery designer Shaun Leane spoke of his captivating career on 12 November at Sotheby’s. Whether it was by creating a coiled corset or combining Tahitian pearls with pheasant claws , Leane has changed the perception of fine jewellery, particularly in his collaborations with the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
