On 12 September, Sotheby’s Los Angeles welcomed guests to a celebratory evening toasting Creating a Stage: The Collection of Marsha and Robin Williams. Hosted by Sotheby’s Thomas Bombard and Nina del Rio, the night offered attendees the exclusive opportunity to view highlights of contemporary art, film memorabilia and even toys from the collection of the beloved entertainer and his family before heading to auction on 4 October in New York. A Gryffindor Robe worn by Dan Radcliffe in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was a crowd favorite, as was the sky-blue Banksy Happy Choppers. Adornment-inclined guest were able to try on a selection of exceptional jewels including covetable signed pieces by Cartier, Tiffany & Co. and David Webb from Sotheby’s upcoming Fine Jewels auction (17 October, New York).
