On 5 November Sotheby’s and Whitney Museum director Adam Weinberg welcomed guests, including Debbie Harry, Jeff Koons, Larry Gagosian, Jeffrey Deitch, Jerry Saltz, Will Cotton, Vito Schnabel and Warhol Superstar Joan Quinn, to an evening celebrating the largest Warhol survey in history. Andy Warhol – From A to B and Back Again brings together 350 artworks covering every aspect and era of the artist’s career. Before dinner, admirers of the Pop icon enjoyed a reception and preview of the exhibition, which is also the first Warhol retrospective organized by a U.S. institution since 1989.
