Following the September ‘Leggenda e Passione’ auction at the Ferrari Factory in Maranello, Italy, RM Sotheby’s has once again partnered with the marque, this time to celebrate its 70th anniversary. On the weekend of 7–8 October, Ferrari proudly displayed its sports and racing cars at prime locations around Manhattan, including ten iconic models at Sotheby’s flagship. The cars were on view alongside pieces from Sotheby’s Diamonds and the upcoming Fine Jewels, Magnificent Jewels and Important Watches auctions. Meanwhile, at Rockefeller Plaza, Ferrari fans could get up close with Michael Schumacher's Ferrari F2001 – the most important modern Formula 1 racecar in existence – before it goes under the hammer in Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Evening auction in November.
