We are excited to present British & Irish Art Week at Sotheby's from 9–14 November, when the building will be full of the best of Modern British & Irish Art.
Our November Evening and Day Auctions of Modern British & Irish Art will feature important works by artists including L. S. Lowry, Henry Moore, Frank Auerbach, John Lavery, Grayson Perry, Callum Innes, Ben Nicholson and Ivon Hitchens, many of them fresh to market and with wonderful provenance. Our Day Auctions will comprise of three sessions, led by A Life with Art: The Collection of Mollie and Graham Dark, followed by Irish Art, and then culminating with Modern British Art. The works by Irish Artists will be exhibited at the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin from 31 October–3 November.
In addition to these auctions, we are honoured to be staging Radical Modernity: From Bloomsbury to Charleston, A Selling and Loan Exhibition in Collaboration with Charleston, as well as Poetic Structure: The Sculpture of Barbara Hepworth, a Private Selling Exhibition which celebrates the sculpture and writing of Barbara Hepworth.
