- When typhoon signal no. 8 is lowered at or before 2pm, the Maison will reopen 2 hours after typhoon signal no. 8 is lowered. If typhoon signal no. 8 is lowered after 2pm, the Maison will be closed on the day.
- The Maison will be closed when Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted
- When Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is lowered at or before 2pm, the Maison will reopen 2 hours after Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is lowered. If Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is lowered after 2pm, the Maison will be closed on the day.

Located at the beating heart of Hong Kong, the Maison offers a portal to a world of boundless inspiration and discovery – a journey from pre-history to present day, across more than 20 categories spanning all continents and artistic endeavours.
Our inaugural ground floor exhibition, Bodhi: Masterpieces of Monumental Buddhist Art, showcases a diverse curation of exceptional Buddhist sculptures spanning from ancient Gandhara to the glorious Ming court, through the turbulent era of the Northern and Southern dynasties, as well as the two Song periods. The exhibition offers a comprehensive view of the development of Buddhist art and its profound impact on the lives of millions of believers over two millennia.
Exhibited on the same floor, Ice: Two Masterworks on Loan from the Long Museum brings together Gerhard Richter’s Eisberg, and an exceptionally rare Ru ware brushwasher made circa 1100 in China.
Sotheby's kicks off our signature season in September with The Hong Kong Sales, followed closely by The Luxury Sales, and rounding out with Asian Art concluding in November.

A s the flagship of Sotheby’s in Asia, this two-storey, 24,000 square foot multifaceted space designed by Rotterdam-based architecture studio MVRDV presents a groundbreaking dual concept: the ground floor houses a dramatic state-of-the-art space designed for immersive experiences and moments of profound contemplation, where museum-grade exhibitions and performances will be staged, alongside Sotheby’s signature auction exhibitions spread throughout the year. The first floor features our concept store, a uniquely curated retail experience exploring an array of cross-category art, luxury and collectibles spanning 80 million years of history and offered for instant purchase.

T he Another World playlist surfs between a whole range of emotions - from contemplation to anxiety, anger to sensuality, joy to otherworldliness. High notes include David Lynch, trip-hop, minimalism, Gainsbourg/Birkin, soul and hip-hop, with undertones of German industrial, alternative and New Wave. The contrast of styles matches the sprawling array of material that we are presenting at the Maison, from fine Old Master drawings to horror movie posters, contemporary design to rare books, dinosaur fossils to gothic sculpture, African contemporary design to Japanese armours.
