Gita Govinda

The Gita Govinda, a work created in the 12th century, tells the story of the love between the shepherd girl Radha and the Hindu god Krishna, and was illustrated in the famous Guler series around 1770. The exhibition enchants the viewers with the museum’s own miniature paintings of the story – the largest coherent set in the
series – along with works from other collections.
