This autumn, La Galerie Dior at 30 Montaigne pays tribute to one of the world's greatest photographers, Peter Lindbergh (1944-2019), with an exhibition featuring over a hundred images taken between 1988 and 2018. This artistic journey weaves a fascinating dialogue with the Dior silhouettes, offering a unique look at the expression of their architecture, essence and allure.

For the first time, prints from the extraordinary photo shoot that took place on the streets of New York in October 2018 are presented to the public. “While Haute couture is closely linked with an idea of perfection and the mastery of every detail, I wanted to transport 70 years of Dior creations to an unexpected place,” Peter Lindbergh recalled at the time. In the hustle and bustle of ‘the city that never sleeps’, the photographer staged over eighty models by Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons and Maria Grazia Chiuri. Each garment asserts itself "in the movement of life”, in the words of the founding-couturier, translating the contemporary spirit of Dior style.

This exceptional retrospective underscores the deep affinity between the House of Dior and Peter Lindbergh, whose respective works are dedicated to revealing the singular beauty of women.
