Word-class site for art, music and flora
Over 83 acres in Coral Gables, 30 minutes outside Miami, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is dedicated to the presentation and conservation of tropical plants, with areas for lowlands and uplands flora, a butterfly garden and rainforests and coastal habitats. The organization also carries out important field studies in more than 20 countries in South and Central America, the Caribbean, South East Asia and elsewhere. The Florida garden’s international mango, chocolate and orchid festivals are as popular as they are spectacular, alongside regular events and concerts. The Art at Fairchild program began in 2006 and has brought in seasonal and permanent exhibits from prominent artists including Dale Chihuly, Roy Lichtenstein, Yayoi Kusama, Yoko Ono and Jorge Pardo.
