Five thousand years of world culture
The Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) is among the largest art museums in the United States, anchored by a global collection of more than 26,000 works from across 5,000 years of history. Alongside important holdings of the arts of ancient Americas, Africa and South Asia, and in European and American painting, sculpture and decorative arts, the DMA has one of the country’s foremost collections of modern and contemporary art. A major redevelopment led by Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos is underway to reimagine the two-block campus in the Dallas Arts District, originally designed in 1984 by Edward Larrabee Barnes.
