The contemporary collection of gallerist Yvon Lambert set in the historic heart of Provence
The Collection Lambert in Avignon is a contemporary art museum housed inside a pair of adjoining 18th-century mansions. Begun in 2000 and formally established in 2012, the museum was founded with an exceptional collection of over 500 major works donated to the French state by the gallerist and art collector Yvon Lambert. They include painting, sculpture, photography and installation art from the second half of the 20th century and the early 21st. The museum presents permanent collection exhibitions in the Hôtel de Caumont, alongside biannual temporary exhibitions held in the Hôtel de Montfaucon.
