e are delighted to present Whisky & Moutai | The World’s Oldest Scotch, which forms our 2023 Spring Season live Spirits auction in Hong Kong. Representing the highest estimated Whisky & Moutai auction that Sotheby’s has ever offered in Hong Kong, this auction is led by an extraordinary bottle of the oldest Scotch ever released, Macallan’s The Reach 81-Year-Old, and the celebrated Macallan Millennium Decanter 50-Year-Old. This is followed by an exceptional consignment of a further 78 lots from Macallan and 28 lots of Highland Park with brilliant provenance, with the majority having been sourced directly from the owner of these 2 historic brands, and containing a number of rare releases that never saw the open retail market and were only offered as limited editions within their global travel programmes. Beyond these distilleries, we find impeccable examples of the rarest Scotch whiskies including the likes of Dalmore’s 50-Year-Old Ceramic Decanter 1926, Bowmore 52-Year-Old and Johnnie Walker Master of Flavour 48-Year-Old.
Iconic Japanese whiskies include a full set of 36 bottles of Karuizawa depicting Katsushika Hokusai’s 36 views of Mount Fuji, a 10-bottle 30-Year-Old Karuizawa Samurai Series set, as well as multiple impeccable Karuizawa Thousand Arrows sets. Beyond this famed distiller, there are myriad pristine bottles from Hibiki, Hanyu Ichiro and Yamazaki.Last but not the least, 89 superb lots of Kweichow Moutai spanning 4 decades, from the 1980s to 2010s, are showcased, including limited editions such as the 2013 State Banquet Edition, 2015 Great Hall of The People Edition, and superb original releases from the 1980s and 1990s.
步入春季，香港蘇富比欣然呈獻「威士忌及茅台｜世上最古老的蘇格蘭威士忌」烈酒現場拍賣，為藏家帶來香港蘇富比歷來估價最高的威士忌和茅台。領銜本場拍賣的拍品是麥卡倫（The Macallan）至今酒齡最高的蘇格蘭威士忌The Reach 81年，以及聞名遐邇的麥卡倫千禧年水晶瓶50年。拍賣並呈78項麥卡倫及28項Highland Park兩大蒸餾廠出品的陳年威士忌，它們來源優秀，當中絕大部分都是藏家直接從蒸餾廠購入，不少都未曾見諸公開市場，是廠方以環遊世界系列之名限量發行的珍稀酒款。另外亦蒐羅多款珍稀蘇格蘭威士忌，例如1926年Dalmore 50年瓷瓶特別版、Bowmore 52年及Johnnie Walker Masters of Flavour 48年。
日本威士忌方面，有極為罕見的全套36瓶以葛飾北齋浮世繪作瓶身裝飾的輕井澤「冨嶽三十六景」系列、一套10瓶輕井澤「侍」系列30年、輕井澤「萬箭齊發」套裝，以及多款來自響、羽生、山崎等頂級蒸餾廠的珍罕醇醪。
除威士忌外，拍賣尚有89項年份橫跨1980年代至2010年代的貴州茅台，包括2013年國宴專用茅台、2015年人民大會堂特供陳釀等限量版茅台，以及1980年代至1990年代出產的原箱茅台，鍾情中國白酒的藏家萬勿錯過。
