T his June, coinciding with the lively beginning of Aspen’s summer season, Sotheby’s is pleased to present Where Ideas Begin: Modern & Contemporary Works on Paper. This exhibition will occur simultaneously with the Aspen Ideas Festival running from June to July. As the Ideas Festival honors curiosity and ingenuity, Where Ideas Begin celebrates the formative step in the artistic practice. For centuries, paper has served as the material for artists to explore new ideas and expressions, and this cross-category exhibition will pay homage to the medium.
