Sotheby’s is thrilled to offer sake in this auction for the very first time. We are very happy to have attained 6 special bottles of sake direct from the celebrated producer Dassai. On offer is their latest limited-edition sake “Beyond the Beyond”, made from the winner Yamada-Nishiki rice of 2019, with only 23 bottles available worldwide. Each bottle is numbered out of 23, and we are happy to have secured numbers 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8. Winners of these bottles will authorize Sotheby’s to submit their names to Dassai, who will then personalize the sake’s wooden case with the winner’s name in calligraphy.
