“PAST PRESENT FUTURE” is an exploration into the overarching parallels and enduring themes that inform art of the 20th and 21st centuries traversing continents and cultures.
The exhibition brings together titans of the 20th century alongside contemporaries and future visionaries. “PAST PRESENT FUTURE” further showcases works loaned from important private collections, bolstering a dynamic curation that transcends geographic borders speaking to a global history of art. Spanning artists from France, Britain, America, Cambodia, Thailand, South Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and Japan, the curation exemplify the universal language of art and the intrinsic nature of art-making.
“PAST PRESENT FUTURE” encourages an exchange of dialogue about how art contributes to a collective world story, serving as a rich reminder that art history exists not in a vacuum, but in an ever-evolving pattern of influence and cross-pollination of ideas and styles.

Alongside the Modern & Contemporary art selling exhibition, Sotheby’s wine is proud to showcase highlighted lots from its Inaugural Whisky and Spirits Auction in Singapore.
This exhibition features incredibly old and rare bottles that were bottled half a century ago with important historical value. By studying features and stories behind these bottles, Sotheby’s aim to provide visitors with an alternative perspective to the whisky market and its history of development in the past few decades. Top quality whiskies that have stood the test of time are in many ways like art pieces, for which not only their value and status will be eternalized in history, but also act as a very solid benchmark for future whisky makers and distillers to follow. We hope this exhibition will be a little more than just browsing some whisky bottles behind a shelf, but also a glimpse into the past, a lesson from the masters of how the whisky collecting culture has come to what it is today.
